Speaking a page costs us nothing, because nothing travels to our servers to be spoken. That’s why reading has no word cap, no account and no meter — and why a company paying per word for cloud voices can’t match it without breaking its own margin.
What you read never reaches us
The built-in voices run in your browser, so the page you're listening to is never uploaded, logged or sold. Turn on a premium AI voice with your own key, and only then does the text leave your machine — straight to the provider you picked, not through our servers.
No investors. No growth team.
Nobody upstairs needs this quarter to look good, so nothing gets bolted on to move a number. The roadmap is what readers ask for, in the order they ask for it.
